This year Fimap brought the #thisisfimap philosophy to the Interclean stage. A true stage, on which the latest developments, the BMg ride-on and the Genie XL and MXL walk-behind scrubbing machines, dominated the scene, while in the background a LED wall demonstrated how this new strategy can revolutionize the work of those who purchase and use the latest generation of Fimap machines. On that stage, CEO Massimiliano Ruffo kicked off the four-day trade show with a brief presentation, in which he explained the meaning of #thisisfimap.
The basic concept is that scrubbing machines can no longer simply be machines that facilitate cleaning activities. They must transform and take advantage of today's technology to become something more. Namely, a tool that both helps and trains the operator, that is capable of preventing accidents, monitoring consumption, respecting the environment, and communicating information. It is this concept that gives rise to the fundamental points of the #thisisfimap philosophy, or rather the key characteristics that the most recent models have in common and on which future production will be based. The scrubbing machine changes its face, becoming the image of a service's professionalism. The design incorporates great attention to detail in both the interior and exterior. The harmony of the shapes is studied to integrate with the environment in order to convey skill, safety, and reliability. At the same time it is functional, facilitates cleaning activities, and provides the operator with everything he/she needs to complete the job as thoroughly and efficiently as possible. The structure is robust and built from high quality materials. These machines are made to last and to never stop, constructed to maintain over time the characteristics for which they have been selected.

The new range is designed to be extremely high performance, therefore it is equipped with certain features that make it possible to handle any condition, without wasting time. For example, the double vacuum motor with 3 phases, which guarantees a floor that can be immediately walked on and reduces the risk of slipping, the adjustable pressure on the brush, or the Power mode function, which temporarily increases the power of scrubbing in order to deal with localized situations that require heavy duty cleaning. For the ride-on machines, the addition of a lateral brush makes it possible to perfectly clean along the edges and under shelving units, thus avoiding the need for manual intervention and subsequent stops.
The most complete package of safety systems, so as to work with the utmost peace of mind
The latest generation of machines are also characterized by a collection of safety systems, the purpose of which is to prevent accidents and to facilitate immediate assistance in the event of an emergency. Some systems help the operator by activating themselves automatically, like the anti-collision system, the electronic monitoring of stability, and the Stop&Go, which blocks the machine when the pedal is released, whether uphill or downhill. Meanwhile, others can be activated by the operator, like the rear-view camera, or the video tutorial, which demonstrates how to properly conduct checks and maintenance.
In the event of difficulty, pressing the Emergency Stop button instantly stops the machine, and the SOS button sends a request for immediate assistance. All of these systems make using these machines safe in any environment, even during daytime hours and in highly trafficked areas.
Everything is simple, intuitive, and practical
Various measures and design solutions have been studied so that interacting with the machine may be as comfortable and practical as possible for the operator, thus ensuring that the activity is well-executed at every stage. The touch-screen display provides intuitive management of the functions and the option of memorizing personalized scrubbing programs according to the environments to be cleaned, so as to save time and always obtain the desired result. Additional accessories, such as the vacuum wand or the spray gun for cleaning the tanks, are perfectly integrated with the machine's design and positioned in such a way as to make them easy to reach and put back. The color code, which identifies the parts to be sanitized at the end of operation, is a clear and simple guide which assists in the ease and precision of regular maintenance.
An intelligent use of resources, to reduce consumption and increase productivity
Recently all of the Fimap technology developed over the past few years, like FSS and FWF for the proper management of water, FES, for monitoring energy consumption, and FNC for noise reduction, have been joined by the Start&Stop technology, which blocks the release of detergent solution when the machine is stopped, and the Eco mode function, which makes it possible to switch to a low consumption work mode, thus reducing the use of water, detergent, and energy with just the push of a button. The most recent is the FLR recycling system, which recovers and filters the water used, making it once again available. This system helps to reduce water consumption by up to 66%, increasing operational autonomy and thus productivity.

This provides a general picture, based on real data, which permits more accurate management of the machine(s) and makes it possible to intervene when necessary to save time, money, and resources.
