Fimap presents new products, 2.0 services and a virtual tour at Pulire 2019

At the 2019 edition of the Pulire trade fair, Fimap made new contributions, and not just from its product line. It talked about the environment, the future and services. The stand summed up well how the company has evolved in the last few years. It has done so as a result of work on and investments in new technologies to increase understanding of environmental issues and develop services alongside products.

New Genie line and virtual tour
The Genie series of scrubbing machines is complemented by the new GL and GXL models. Genie is a milestone in Fimap’s innovative history. The machine revolutionised the sector thanks to its size. GL and GXL represent the second generation. Although they are compact and suitable for small environments, the new versions have larger tanks and therefore greater autonomy. GL’s capacity is 50% greater than Genie’s, while GXL’s is double that of GL. They put more pressure on the brushes and are completely versatile in terms of power supply, being compatible with any type of battery. The squeegee is parabolic and can therefore move between obstacles, drying surfaces perfectly even on a curve. The machines also have all the latest features: Eco mode to save resources, an aluminium squeegee for lightness and robustness, and remote control using FFM - Fimap Fleet Management, something new in machines this compact.
Besides new products, Fimap prepared the ‘area of the future’, which provided an immersive experience related to its upcoming project. Using a virtual reality viewer, visitors could see the machine of the future moving around in different environments and examine it close up – close enough, in fact, to get right inside it! Fimap used this virtual experience to show its passion and enthusiasm for grasping all the new things technology has to offer: it is prepared to invest to seize all the possible advantages of using technology in professional cleaning.

Fimap’s ecological footprint

Fimap has always shown how much it cares about the environment and is dedicated to developing solutions for controlling consumption. It is also keen to be assessed externally, in the form of international certifications. It has now received the certification for a systematic approach to Carbon Footprint of Products (CFP), for its latest generation of scrubbing machines. At Pulire, Fimap shared its experience by demonstrating CFP in the scrubbing machine industry at the ‘Carbon Footprint in the Cleaning Sector’ event in the Puccini Room.
CFP assesses the carbon footprint of products over their entire life cycle, covering design, use, maintenance and finally disposal. The design of the range identified within the #thisisfimap project allowed us to achieve this in terms of the choice of materials for our machines, the technology that aids their proper and efficient use, and the tools that Fimap provides with its products. These tools include Fimap Fleet Management (FFM), the system that allows you to monitor the activity of your scrubbing machine in real time. At this edition of Pulire, it appeared in an updated version, complete with new functions to provide even more detailed data on its use.

Fimap’s vision does not end with products. It also deals with the space around them, to make them work better and more efficiently, using specially designed tools and services. Because it’s not just about cleaning any more. It’s about how you do it.
