Batteries

Using genuine Fimap batteries helps you to get the most out of your scrubber dryers.

We offer you an array of batteries chosen for their quality, reliability and low maintenance. The range includes different types of batteries that combined with our machines allow to achieve the best performance and highest productivity.

WET BATTERIES

They are batteries made of lead immersed in a solution of sulphuric acid and distilled water. They can be built with a flat plate or in a tubular form. The two types differ regarding the number of charge-discharge cycles that they can attain: from 300 to 600 cycles for the flat plate batteries and from 800 to 1200 for the tubular ones. The recharge time is about 10-12 hours and they do not allow partial charges, and so for this reason they are suitable for applications that involve one operation a day.
In the recharging phase the distilled water evaporates, so it needs to be topped up periodically. This service operation can be fully left to the trained operator, or else it can be made easier by the installation of a semi-automatic charging system. Moreover, since hydrogen is emitted during the charging phase, which is an inflammable gas, the charging should be carried out in suitably equipped areas.

BATTERY BOX

These are wet cell tubular batteries made to measure in larger formats, which provide greater autonomy than standard size batteries. They are equipped with an automatic refilling system, comprising a circuit connecting all of the elements, which allows you to adjust the fill level from a single point. It is a solution that makes the operation much quicker and safer, preventing electrolyte leaks from the batteries, which could damage the hopper.

AGM/GEL BATTERIES

They are sealed batteries, which have no emissions during charging and so do not require any service. Compared to the wet batteries they do not need topping up with water, they require less power in the recharging phase and, since they do not emit gas, they do not require a dedicated area for charging. The recharge time is about 10-12 hours and they do not allow partial charges, and so for this reason they are suitable for applications that involve one operation a day. There are about 700 recharging cycles.

PURE LEAD BATTERIES

This type of battery has the advantage of not requiring any service, needing just 3 hours for charging and it attains a high number of recharging cycles, over 1000. Unlike the standard wet or gel batteries, pure lead batteries can also be recharged partially and at any time.

LITHIUM ION BATTERIES

Lithium has an energy density that is much higher than lead and weighs much less, so it is possible to make much smaller and lighter batteries that have charging times of 2 to 3 hours. Unlike traditional batteries, recharging can be carried out at any time since it is not necessary to wait for the battery to go completely flat.
