UA recent study carried out in Italy by Fimap, with a sample corresponding to
49 million Italians, showed that 93% consider the cleanliness and hygiene of public places to be highly
important.
The majority feel that cleanliness is a sign of courtesy and respect for others, a fundamental
aspect of illness prevention, and an indicator of order, efficient organisation and the quality of life.
The data confirm the direction that Fimap's work has always taken: that of investing in research for
professional machines that help to raise levels of cleanliness.
The challenge that Fimap has pursued over recent years is that of exploiting the experience built up
in the industrial field, transferring it to small environments. It won that challenge when it created 2
